Dr. Liu holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Peking University, Beijing, China. Currently he is serving as an assistant professor at the Center for Advanced Imaging Research (CAIR), University of Maryland School of Medicine. Prior to joining CAIR, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Pennsylvania. His research primarily revolves around image processing, medical image analysis, and machine learning.
He was the recipient of the 2023 William H. Gates Sr. Fellowship from ADDI, the Best Student Paper Award at IEEE VCIP 2017, the 2019 Doctoral Dissertation Award from BSIG, and the co-recipient of the Best Paper Award at MICCAI-CLIP 2019. |
