What I do.
I work as a weather forecaster and presenter for BBC Scotland. I am responsible for analyzing the latest UK Met office computer model data, radar frames, and satellite imagery. I then use that information for Scotland's radio and TV forecasts.
What I find exciting.
I love the variety that weather forecasting provides. In Scotland no two days are the same! The weather is constantly changing, and trying to produce an accurate forecast is a great challenge. Working on live TV can be exciting as well, especially when things go wrong!
What I wish someone had told me.
Accept that you will be wrong sometimes! You will have some bad days when things don't work out well. I think professionally we all put ourselves under tremendous pressure to be perfect, especially in the media. Life just isn't like that!
