What I do.
I am an assistant professor of chemistry with a background in biological sciences, organic synthesis, photophysics, and device engineering. My current research involves developing new materials for optoelectronic devices that engulf biological systems. I also teach classes in chemistry and spectroscopy.
What I find exciting.
My thrill is to design new materials with unique properties and develop these materials, from the first drawing on paper to the device stage. The opportunity to work with fresh minds and the possibility to challenge students to learn new concepts and to think outside the box is my motor to excel in teaching.
What I wish someone had told me.
In hindsight, I wish I had taken some public relations, management, and accounting classes.
